Nikhil Sampath

Nikhil Sampath is a Chennai-based storyteller and full-time genre-hopper.
He’s been spinning tales since he was five — usually with action figures, questionable plot logic, and a flair for the dramatic. After a long creative break, he’s now back to doing what he loves most: writing emotionally charged, character-driven stories across genres.
Inspired by the likes of Neil Gaiman, P.G. Wodehouse, Stephen King, and Agatha Christie, his work blends everything from supernatural thrillers to survival horror and soul-hugging romance — all rooted in one thing: deeply human emotion.
When not writing or gaming his way through story-driven worlds, Nikhil works as a Technology Consultant and overthinks plot twists while pretending to sleep.

  • I’ve read every single P.G. Wodehouse book ever written. Yes, all of them. Yes, even that one.
  • I’m a proud pet parent to Dusky, a moody, lovable Indie who’s convinced he runs the house (and he does).
  • I have an unhealthy love for massive action entertainers — the louder the explosion, the better the popcorn.
  • I’m a Witcher loyalist in all formats — books, games, lore. But please don’t adapt great video games into shows. Some things are sacred.
  • I don’t believe in Mary Sues or Gary Stus. Characters should be flawed, messy, and human — just like the rest of us. (Google if you’re unfamiliar. It’s a fun rabbit hole.)
  • I believe plot twists should sting, stories should feel lived in, and tropes are best when twisted.
